In September, the national lottery sales totaled 31.239 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.615 billion yuan or 12.9%. Among them, the sales of welfare lottery institutions was 11.843 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.106 billion yuan or 15.1%; The sales of sports lottery institutions reached 19.395 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.509 billion yuan or 11.5%.
According to the analysis, influenced by factors such as the suspension of online video lottery games of Zhongfu, the change of rules of Happy 8 Keno lottery games and the expansion of sales scope, the delisting of high-frequency fast-opening lottery games, and the European Cup, the lottery sales of major lottery varieties fluctuated greatly year-on-year. In September, the sales of lottery digital lottery tickets reached 12.774 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.006 billion yuan; The sales of quiz lottery tickets was 11.653 billion yuan, an increase of 1.074 billion yuan year-on-year; The sales of instant lottery tickets was 4.446 billion yuan, an increase of 965 million yuan year-on-year; The sales of video lottery tickets was RMB 0.0002 billion, a year-on-year decrease of RMB 0.0006 billion; The sales of Keno lottery tickets was 2.366 billion yuan, an increase of 2.351 billion yuan. In September, the lottery sales of digital lottery, quiz lottery, instant lottery and Keno lottery accounted for 40.9%, 37.3%, 14.2% and 7.6% of the total lottery sales respectively, while the video lottery sales accounted for less than 0.1%.
From January to September, the sales of lottery digital lottery tickets reached 121.898 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 34.463 billion yuan; The sales of quiz lottery tickets was 103.143 billion yuan, an increase of 55.932 billion yuan year-on-year; The sales of instant lottery tickets was 38.119 billion yuan, an increase of 17.883 billion yuan year-on-year; Keno lottery sales reached 15.369 billion yuan, an increase of 15.291 billion yuan. From January to September, the lottery sales of digital lottery, quiz lottery, instant lottery and Keno lottery accounted for 43.8%, 37.0%, 13.7% and 5.5% of the total lottery sales respectively. The sales of video lottery tickets was 0.0072 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.793 billion yuan.
In terms of regional lottery sales, in September, compared with the same period of last year, lottery sales in six provinces increased, namely Tianjin, Hunan, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan and Xinjiang. From January to September, compared with the same period of last year, except Jiangsu, Tibet, Shaanxi and Qinghai, the sales of other provinces all increased.
The Ministry of Finance said that lottery agencies at all levels should closely follow up and analyze new situations and new problems, effectively strengthen lottery issuance and sales, and ensure the smooth operation of the market. Financial departments at all levels should further strengthen supervision, actively create a good external environment, maintain the normal order of the market, and promote the healthy development of lottery.
